Baer EradiSpeed rotors offer more than just "looks" by
delivering the performance, innovation, and quality to meet the
demands of driving enthusiasts. Each EradiSpeed rotor has been
designed through a joint venture between Baer Brake Systems and
Disc Brakes Australia. Every EradiSpeed rotor has been
purpose-cast, not just to the OE specifications of the rotor it
replaces, but to enhanced specifications that help increase the
rotor's ability to survive hard use.
All rotors are cast with
additional, high quality iron in the "firepath," where the pad
contacts the rotor, to provide a more substantial heat sink.
This has two distinct benefits. First, every EradiSpeed rotor
can be pushed farther in hard use before it heat soaks. Second,
EradiSpeed rotors also provide greater durability. Baer’s claims
of "improved durability" are backed with the industry's only
"Limited Lifetime Warranty against Warping."
While EradiSpeed rotors are
available in both solid and vented designs to meet the
requirements of the vehicle, most vented EradiSpeed rotors
benefit from curved vanes. However, in a select group of 1-piece
rotor applications, a "Kangaroo Vane" patented by Disc Brakes
Australia is employed. Both provide dramatic improvements to
airflow, cooling and overall rotor performance.
EradiSpeed
rotors surfaces are crossdrilled and slotted. Baer employs a
"reverse rotational pattern" (the world wide standard in racing)
to ensure that when the rotor is used with an aggressive disc
brake pad, the friction material that transfers from the pad
does not "smear" and "collect" following the slot. This is
because the counter rotational slot drives into the pad, which
keeps the pad "loaded." In addition, every vented EradiSpeed
rotor has the crossdrilled holes located behind a vane to arrest
hairline fractures and maintain the highest rotor integrity.
EradiSpeed
rotors are then zinc-plated or "washed." And while this
rust-resistant finish wears off of the ?firepath? during the
first 300-400 miles of normal street driving, it remains to
protect the rotor surfaces not swept by the pad.
EradiSpeed
rotors are available in three different high performance
configurations to meet the requirements of the vehicle and its
braking demands. They include: original size direct replacement
1-piece rotors, original size direct replacement 2-piece rotors,
and increased diameter 1-piece or 2-piece rotors.
EradiSpeed
1-Piece Rotors
EradiSpeed
(e rad’ i speed) high performance, direct replacement rotors are
cast with an integral 1-piece hat or hub/hat section just like
the original OEM rotor.
EradiSpeed+
2-Piece Rotors
EradiSpeed+
(e rad’ i speed plus) rotors are still direct OEM replacement
units, but the "plus" indicates rotors are a lightweight, high
performance, 2-piece racing type design.
EradiSpeed+1 Increased
Diameter Rotors
EradiSpeed+1 are larger
diameter rotors than the original, but retain the original rotor
width to work with repositioned original calipers. |
